While nature goes to sleep in fall and winter, self-advocates must take advantage of this time to plan for next year’s legislative agenda. We must network with other self-advocates and allies to come up with a priority list of legislation for next year. Sacramento still needs to reform Self-Determination more participant friendly. Similarly, we need to address further the POS disparity issue for marginalized populations. It follows that POS should be distributed equitably to diverse populations. In short, now is the time to seize the moment.
