Many issues fall under the umbrella of social justice, but at the core of its economic justice. All people should share in the wealth and fruits of this nation. Sadly, a select few own most of the wealth, and the most needy and marginalized live in poverty. That isn’t fair or right. It is hard enough to live with a disability, but to burden persons with developmental disabilities with poverty is unduly painful and unnecessary. The income and resource rules for SSI should be the same as SSDI. SSA should afford SSi recipients enough money to live a dignified life. What do you think?
