Legislature eyes changes in SDP

With the Self-Determination Program going into its 3rd year, it’s time to assess and revise the Program. The Legislature has introduced two bills SB 136 and SB 518 that clarify terms of the program, roles of the players, and create an alternative method for calculating the individual budget. It would also create the Office of Self-Determination Program Ombudsman. SB 136 is in the Assembly Budget Committee. SB 518 is in the Senate Appropriation Committee. Stay tuned for further developments.
