When we are young, time seems like an eternity. We can do whatever we want when ever we want to We have our youth, health, and friends. Our future and our dreams lie before us. The world is ours for the taking. Now that I am a senior I see life decidedly differently. I live a more sedentary existence frequently lost in deep thought. Life is less vivid and I see it in pastels. Everyone tells me I should live a more active lifestyle–perhaps someday I will get around to it. This brings me to Self-Advocacy. This is one area that I am constantly on the go for. I phone call, text, or email my friends, peers, and associates. My mind actively tries to come up with creative ways to advance Self-Advocacy. Often I do succeed. Advancing it is very important to me. How about you? What is important to you? Do you live it out in the limited time allotted to you?
