Progress at a snails pace

I am use to the Internet, email, texting, etc… I like things to happen and to happen now and I really get frustrated about waiting. But I have found in my life real personal change takes change. Learning is an incredibly slow process. We spend all our youth in school to prepare us for adult life. Even when I graduated and left school, I still hit the books. I am what you call a lifelong learner. Social justice and systemic change are the same way. It takes a lot of time and commitment, years can go by before any change occurs. It is still worth it. Working together we can still make a change, so unite with fellow self-advocates, stay informed, reach out to your legislators. Over time you can make a difference.
