The enthusiasm of the now

In the DD world we go on and on about some distant plan and the process we need to reach that goal or object. This is pretty dry stuff and just puts me to sleep. We must remember we live in the now where are heart beats. We need to be excited about what is happening in our life right now with my family, friends, co-workers, employer, and with me. Am I happy, sad, frustrated, or excited. All of this is in the now. If I tell you that I am hungry and it is noon time, don’t tell me I must wait until tomorrow to eat. I want to enjoy my lunch now. Don’t set up procedures where participants have to wait and wait for funding to get their services–remember the now.
