Self-advocates take the right to vote and elections seriously. Every two years San Diego People First holds its officer elections. We hold the elections at our November meeting. Each candidate will give a speech and then the members will vote. This year we have a very diverse slate of candidates running. There are seniors and young people running. There are some veterans to SDPF and others who are new to SDPF. We are ethnically diverse with a wide variety of interests and abilities. I am excited about the upcoming elections and the promises it holds.
