The end of 2021 is rapidly coming up. I don’t know where the year has gone. With all this sheltering in place, time seems to zoom by. A lot has happened in California regarding Self-Determination and Self-Advocacy. Self-Determination was expanded to all Regional Center service recipients who want it. Sacramento passed legislation to streamline and clarify the transition process. On the Self-Advocacy front, Sacramento passed legislation that created a framework for phasing out the subminimum wage. All in all it was a very good year with a bright promise for 2022.
