Healthy Self-worth

When your body or mind doesn’t work right, it is hard to have a positive self-image. This is made worse when family, teachers, and other professionals say you can’t do it either. Then there is the social stigma that you have to deal with. Eek. For me, it was important to find at least one thing that I am good at. Success has a way of building on itself, kind of like compound interest in the bank. I am not sure if it is fair or right, but people respect success and will overlook a lot of stuff. My life has been a search for that success. I knew that my self-worth was intrinsically priceless flowing from my personhood, but for psychological reasons, I wanted more, a lot more. After I found my success, I look back, I see my quest was all vanity. So I leave you with this bit of advice, it doesn’t matter what others say, you are worthy of leading a full, happy, satisfying life in your community.
