We are almost at the end of December and the arrival of winter with its harsh elements. It is tempting to just stay in place. Yet, the cause of self-advocacy calls us forward. In a little over a month, legislators will introduce their bills. We need to be at the table reviewing the bills. There is so much work to be done. One issue that is near and dear to my heart is the Service Coordinator to ‘client caseload ratios. They are unforgivably high, We must demand that Sacramento fund the hiring of more SCs to bring the rations in line with the Lantermann act. So this year, speak up and make a difference in your life.
