Accountability is 1 of the 5 pillars of self-determination. Many of the other pillars tell you what you say or do, but with this pillar it holds you responsible for what you say or do. It is the pillar of maturity because adults have to ownership of what they say or do. They are not little kids anymore. Participants need to be responsible how they spend their monies in their spending plans and need to keep others in your self-determination team in the loop and informed on how things are working out for you.
