A New Day

Many think of nostalgia that the best days were yesterday. Self-Determination teaches a different story that our best days lie before us. Our goals are our goals, not some body else telling us what are goals should be. Similarly, our supports are what and whom they should not what someone else tells us they should be. After having been told what to do, we at long last have control of our lives. We have the power to live out our decisions, and we have the authority to direct the monies to achieve the future we want. We are free because we have broken the shackles of the past. It feels good to be a free adult. I am mindful that where there is freedom there is also responsibility and accountability. They go along with being an adult. Self-Determination offers us a new day with promise, meaning, and fulfillment.
